Cryo Boxes

The main characteristics of Cryo Boxes

Cryo Boxes are usually made of high-strength polypropylene (PP) or polystyrene (PS). These materials have excellent low-temperature resistance and can withstand extreme conditions ranging from a liquid nitrogen environment of -196°C to an ultra-low temperature refrigerator of -80° C. At the same time, they have certain impact resistance and durability. Its design includes internal regular compartments for fixing Cryogenic Tubes or cryogenic tubes to prevent samples from moving or colliding during transportation or storage. The standard size is 133mm × 133mm (5 inches ×5 inches), which can accommodate 25 (5×5) or 81 (9×9) cryotubes of different specifications to meet various storage needs. The bottom and flat top design allow the boxes to be neatly stacked on the freezer rack, maximizing the use of storage space.

Furthermore, the lid or side of Cryo Boxes is equipped with a writing area or label slot, which is convenient for marking sample information such as sample type, date or number, and is combined with barcode or QR code technology to achieve efficient tracking and management. Some models are equipped with sealed covers or waterproof designs to prevent condensation water or contaminants from entering, further protecting the safety of the samples. To facilitate the distinction of different sample categories or experimental projects, Cryo Boxes offer a variety of color options, which is helpful for laboratories to achieve visual management and improve work efficiency.
